Web Developer / App Builder
Lizard is in need of someone with a strong understanding of front-end and back-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. The ideal candidate should have experience with server-side languages such as Node.js, PHP, or Python, as well as proficiency in databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can develop, test, and maintain web applications that are both user-friendly and optimized for performance. Additionally, Lizard values someone with problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and a commitment to staying updated with the latest web development trends and best practices are also important for this position.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and Develop Websites: Build and maintain websites and web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP, Python, etc.).
- Implement Responsive Designs: Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and work across various devices and browsers.
- Optimize Website Performance: Improve site speed, loading times, and overall performance through coding best practices and optimization techniques.
- Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and fix bugs or issues in existing websites or applications.
- Collaborate with Designers and Stakeholders: Work closely with UX/UI designers, project managers, and other team members to ensure the final product meets business and user needs.
- Integrate APIs and Third-Party Services: Connect the website with external services or data through APIs or plugins.
- Maintain and Update Websites: Regularly update and maintain websites, including content management, security patches, and software updates.
- Conduct Testing: Perform testing (e.g., unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests) to ensure the functionality and reliability of the website or application.
- Version Control: Use version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.
- Stay Updated: Continuously learn about new technologies, tools, and best practices in web development to keep skills current.

- Optimized a website’s loading speed and performance, leading to a measurable increase in conversion rates or user retention.
- Identified and resolved security vulnerabilities, implementing best practices that significantly improved the security of web applications.
- Earned industry-recognized certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Google Developers Certification) or received awards and recognitions for outstanding work in web development.
- Flexibility and ability to adjust on-the-fly to new demands and business environments, sense of urgency.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people skills working with internal teams and client teams.
